Cyber Shadow is the debut game from Mechanical Head Studios headed by one man, Aarne Hunziker. However, he did have help with the music, and Yacht Club Games did come in to publish it. I covered a lot of games this year despite the world seemingly shutting down. Games were a godsend to all of us in 2020. To close out the year, I have a couple of links to share, and let’s start with some videos.

Well, this it. My final post of the year. 2019 has been a crazy year for me both personally and in my gaming career. I spill all details in my state of the union address, as it were, in this video. At first glance Blasphemous may look like a 2D version of Dark Souls and in some ways it is. The aesthetics and general vibe definitely invoke that game, but in terms of gameplay it has more in common with a Metroidvania. Find out more in my review. Enjoy!

The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan is the first in what is promised to be an anthology horror series for video games. This comes from Supermassive Games who previously worked on the equally ambitious, choice driven horror narrative, Until Dawn.
