Cyber Shadow Review

Cyber Shadow is the debut game from Mechanical Head Studios headed by one man, Aarne Hunziker. However, he did have help with the music, and Yacht Club Games did come in to publish it. Speaking of this game has a very similar vibe to their flagship star, Shovel Knight. How does it stack up next to him? Find out in my review. Enjoy!

Special Notes: I received an Xbox One review code for Cyber Shadow.

Year in Gaming 2020: A Review

I covered a lot of games this year despite the world seemingly shutting down. Games were a godsend to all of us in 2020. To close out the year, I have a couple of links to share, and let’s start with some videos.

First, I posted my top ten games of 2020, followed by a tribute featuring over fifty games. I also linked some end of the year stuff I wrote for TheGamer and Game Rant. All in all, thanks to everyone who read my articles, watched my videos, and a big shout out to all of the developers and PR people that helped me out as well. Let’s all hope 2021 will be better.

Foregone Review

Foregone is a 2D action game that looks and plays similarly to Dead Cells. That said it’s a more linear game than its randomized roguelike counterpart. What exactly is it then and was it fun? Find out in my review. Enjoy!

Special Notes: I received a review code for Foregone.

End of the Year Farewell 2019

Well, this it. My final post of the year. 2019 has been a crazy year for me both personally and in my gaming career. I spill all details in my state of the union address, as it were, in this video. I also put together a gaming tribute to over fifty games that came out this year. You know, just for an added fun bonus. So enjoy those and hope to see you all next year!

Blasphemous Review

At first glance Blasphemous may look like a 2D version of Dark Souls and in some ways it is. The aesthetics and general vibe definitely invoke that game, but in terms of gameplay it has more in common with a Metroidvania. Find out more in my review. Enjoy!

Special Notes: I received an Xbox One review code for Blasphemous.

The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan Review

The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan is the first in what is promised to be an anthology horror series for video games. This comes from Supermassive Games who previously worked on the equally ambitious, choice driven horror narrative, Until Dawn. Should we be excited for the future of this series based on this initial episode? The simple answer is yes. Find out more in my review. Enjoy!

Special Notes: I received an Xbox One review code for The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan.
