Top 10 Games of 2021

At long last, it’s time to name my top ten games of 2021. I would like to note that all ten of these games, with one mild exception, were released for the first time on consoles in 2021. I would have loved to highlight the PS5 port of Final Fantasy VII Remake because that Yuffie DLC was a blast. Getting to play Scott Pilgrim again was also a treat, but restrictions are good. It helped me make a more fresh list.

Before you get to my top ten, I wanted to say a few things. A big thank you to all of the developers and publishers that worked with me this year. Shout out to my coworkers at TheGamer and Game Rant. Finally, HUUUUGE thanks to my viewers and readers out there too. Enjoy the video, and Happy New Year!

13 Games From 2021 You Probably Missed

As I do every year, I looked back and found some games I missed. Good or bad, maybe you missed these games too. I divided this retrospective into three parts. Part one is based on PlayStation games, part two focuses on Nintendo Switch, and the finale looks at some late December games. Simple enough right? So, let’s dive in!

I received review codes for Anodyne 2, Blightbound, Children of Morta DLC, Xuan Yuan Sword 7, Boomerang X, Cathedral, Everhood, The Legend of Standing, Super Mombo Quest, UnMetal, Chorus, Dungeon Munchies, and The Gunk.

Loop Hero Review

Loop Hero originally launched in March of this year but for PC only. It now returns with its first, and only console release so far. Is Loop Hero a perfect fit for the Nintendo Switch? Find out in my review. Enjoy!

Special Notes: I received a Nintendo Switch review code for Loop Hero.

Archvale Review

Archvale will be the first big game out of the indie collective known as Idoz & Phops with Humble Bundle picking up the publishing tab. It pays homage to The Legend of Zelda in terms of gameplay style and graphics but it has been reimagined as a twin-stick shooter. Is this new indie top-down action RPG worth your time? Find out in my review. Enjoy!

Special Notes: I received a review code for Archvale.
