PS4 Review: Samurai Warriors Spirit of Sanada

Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada is the third spinoff based off of Samurai Warriors 4. It’s also the first game in both this series and Dynasty Warriors to focus on one family. Even stranger it ditches local co-op, one of the series’ most attracting features. Are these changes for the better, or does Spirit of Sanada feel unnecessary? Find out in my review. Enjoy!

Special Notes: I received a PS4 review code for Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada.

Persona 5 Spoilercast Part 1: April to July

It’s been about a month since Persona 5 released and my thoughts are kind of all over the place. It’s great, but I’m not in love with it. So I asked Shay to join me in another Spoilercast to sort my head out. We run down our thoughts on the story, gameplay, graphics, and everything in-between. There are of course spoilers, but we only talked up to July. Hopefully we’ll be back again to cover the rest, but for now enjoy part one of our discussion!

PS4 Review: Prey

Prey is a weird amalgamation of Bioshock, Portal, and Dead Space with a touch of Arkane Studios’ own Dishonored series. Does this odd combination blend well to create a new masterpiece in the survival horror genre, or is it a lumpy mess of nightmares? Find out in my video review. Enjoy!

PS Vita Review: The Caligula Effect

The Caligula Effect throws a group of High School students into a virtual world known as Mobius. This paradise isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be and it’s up to the Go-Home Club to solve the case and free everyone from this misery. It’s a turn-based RPG with a tactical mindset that is similar to last year’s Tokyo Mirage Sessions in tone. Does this blending of mechanics and story elements play out like a symphony, or does it sound more like a muffled garbage band? Find out in my review!

Special Notes: I received a PS Vita review code for The Caligula Effect. It’s only available digitally on PSN.
