10 Games You Probably Missed From March 2022

March was a wild month for games. I played ten games I got review codes for but I played even more than that which I bought on my own. Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Triangle Strategy, Final Fantasy Origin. Not to mention games that came out at the tail end of February like Elden Ring. So, needless to say, my month was filled with gaming goodness. Some of these games were awesome, some good to okay and others, well, you’ll see.

They run the gamut from RPGs to puzzle games on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. Unfortunately, a mini-vacation set me back a bit meaning I had no time for a retrospective this month. So, bad news aside, let’s begin this review countdown. Enjoy!

Special Notes: I received review codes for The Cruel King and the Great Hero, Dark Deity, Dawn of the Monsters, Young Souls, Shadow Warrior 3, Weird West, Tunic, Terrorbane, Wife Quest, Aztech: Forgotten Gods.

10 Classic Retro Games from February 1992, 2002, and 2012

Greetings retro fans. I’m going to do something a little different in this month’s roundup of classic games because 1992’s and 2002’s offerings don’t hold much weight to me. I didn’t invest a lot of time in them growing up but maybe they did for you. I mostly want to get to 2012 because it was a huge month for gaming. Altogether I’ll be looking at ten games, with three notable highlights. Enjoy!

PlayStation Vita 10th Anniversary Retrospective

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the PlayStation Vita, one of the most underrated portables, let alone consoles, of all time. It launched on February 15, 2012 in North America, which was just two months after Japan. I absolutely loved my Vita and I can thank it for introducing me to new ways of gaming. It was revolutionary and secretly, I think, why the Switch has been so successful. What do I mean? Find out in the deep dive of my memories on the console.

13 Games From 2021 You Probably Missed

As I do every year, I looked back and found some games I missed. Good or bad, maybe you missed these games too. I divided this retrospective into three parts. Part one is based on PlayStation games, part two focuses on Nintendo Switch, and the finale looks at some late December games. Simple enough right? So, let’s dive in!

I received review codes for Anodyne 2, Blightbound, Children of Morta DLC, Xuan Yuan Sword 7, Boomerang X, Cathedral, Everhood, The Legend of Standing, Super Mombo Quest, UnMetal, Chorus, Dungeon Munchies, and The Gunk.

Top 10 Ninja Games

I don’t know about you, but I’m really digging Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice even though it is kicking my butt. That’s kind of standard for a FromSoftware game though. Anyway, it’s been a long time since a really great AAA ninja game came out so it made me want to think about what my top ten ninja games would be. In order, let’s get to ranking. Enjoy!

Syphon Filter 20th Anniversary

Today marks the 20th anniversary of Syphon Filter. The first game launched on February 17, 1999 for the PS1 in North America. This third-person spy series primarily follows agents Gabriel Logan and Lian Xing through various terrorist plots involving a lethal virus known as the Syphon Filter strain. Where is this franchise now? Find out more in my accompanying retrospective. Enjoy!

Valkyria Chronicles 10th Anniversary

Today marks the 10th anniversary of Valkyria Chronicles. The first game launched on November 4, 2008 for the PS3 in North America. It was a remarkable revolution for strategy RPGs at the time and RPGs in general as the console was in dire need of them. What makes it so special? Let’s find out in my accompanying video retrospective. Enjoy!

LittleBigPlanet 10th Anniversary

This month marks the 10th anniversary of LittleBigPlanet. The original game launched on October 27, 2008 in North America for the PlayStation 3. For all intents and purposes the game’s star, Sackboy, became the default mascot for the system. Because of this fact it got pushed a lot not just for sequels, but in guest spots as well. Find out more in my accompanying video retrospective. Enjoy!
